I found this on Pinterest this weekend and this kid totally had me crying from laughing so hard.  Remind me to make sure I have a video camera handy when my kids have their wisdom teeth taken out.  Seriously watch this whole video!!!

Amish Yumminess

I received a wonderful package from Nicole the other day.  She and her mother visited Amish Country and she sent me some of the yummy goodness...a brownie mix and pumpkin sprinkles. 

So, Ashton and I whipped up the brownies and OMG! they are so yummy!

A Change is A Comin'

Are you guys as tired of my blog template as I am?  Those pictures are over a year and a half old and I'm just ready for something new and fresh.


So, I've taken the lead and I have submitted my request for a custom blog template over at Munchkin Land Designs...I am in her queue and hopefully we will have a new and beautiful blog by the end of October.

Thank goodness, cause this one is wearing me slick!

If You Really Knew Me

A few weeks ago, my friend Nicole did this post, so I thought I would steal it.  So, here goes....

*If you really knew me you would know that I am a lot like a guy...I never put my shoes away or pick up after myself.

*If you really knew me you would know that I cry in all sad movies and Hallmark commercials (I even cried at the end of High School Musical 3)

*If you really knew me you would know that I love to take naps...I can't survive most days without one.

*If you really knew me you would know that I absolutely addicted to chocolate.

*If you really knew me you would know that I love getting stuff in the mail.  Since I grew up in the country, it was a treat to walk out to the mailbox everyday to see what the mailman had delivered.

*If you really knew me you would know that I am horrible house keeper.  Thank goodness for kids who are old enough to do chores.

*If you really knew me you would know that I love movies and books!

*If you really knew me you would know that I love to sing.

*If you really knew me you would know that I am my own worst critic.

*If you really knew me you would know that I am cat person.  I still love my Alli, but I have to say I am partial to Sookie...even when she is being a turd.

So, if you knew all of those things about me, then I would say you know me pretty well.  If not, maybe you learned a thing or two.

A "Grand" Milestone

I interrupt this vacation montage of posts to tell you about a milestone that I just achieved with my blog.  Can you believe I have posted 1000 posts?  Who would've ever thought that when I started this blog 3'ish years ago, I would've had so much to talk about.  Hehehehe.

Thanks to all my loyal readers for sticking with me.  I love your comments and getting to spew out all of my randomness.

The Countdown Begins....

....only 5 more months!!!

Nicole has been living in Ohio for a couple of weeks now and I cannot believe how much I miss her.  So, I was trying to think of a way to show her how much I care and send her a fun gift that would brighten her day...I can only imagine how hard it is to move away from your family and friends and start new that far from home.

So, when I came across this idea to send a Sunshine Box, I knew I just had to do it.  And of course, Ashton was more than happy to help me collect anything and everything yellow that we could find.

I wish I could have been there to see her face when she opened up the box.  I had painted the inside bright yellow and filled it full of yellow tissue shreds.  Who wouldn't be happy when opening up something so bright and cheery.

Life Happens

My friend shared this with me and I immediately fell in love with it, so I wanted to share it with you. I've decided this is my theme song!!!

"Duh!"

We all have those moments...where we want to slap ourselves on the forehead and say "Duh!"

This has never happened to me more than it does when I am looking at Pinterest. At least daily, I have a moment on Pinterest, where I am like, "why didn't I think of that??" Surely I am not that ignorant...but these ideas seem so dang simple.

Here are a few of the most recent "Duh's!" for me.
Tie a baggie full of cleaning solution to the shower head to clean it!!

Yep, those are toilet paper rolls used to keep wrapping paper in place.

Keep track of daily dosing on the medicine bottle.

Maybe these are all 3 things that you have used in the past...and if so, I am totally impressed. But I have to confess, I sure hope you just slapped yourself on the forehead...Happy Friday!!!
