Disney Pictures....FINALLY!

It's about time right? I've worked on this post all day today and have debated over how to do it. Do I do a day-by-day recount of our trip??? I'm not sure you guys would stay awake for it...your computers could easily time out while you were trying to read it all....hehehe. So, I've decided to give a few highlights and not get too detailed...if you want the detailed version, you'll have to wait until I get the scrapbook done.

We spent 3 days at Magic Kingdom, 1 day at Animal Kingdom, 1/2 day at Typhoon Lagoon, 1 and 1/2 days at Hollywood Studios, and 1 day at Epcot. Was it enough time to see everything? No way! Could we have stayed longer? No way! We were tired by about the 5th day. By the 7th day, we were running on fumes. Honestly, I think a 7 day vacation at Disney is the most I'll ever plan again. Ten days is just too long to keep going....unless I become a millionaire and can spend a month there and have some R&R every two to three days!

When a person takes a trip with their family, they are bound to learn new things about each other...well, I think I learned something new about everyone....

MOM is a rock star! She rode all of the roller coasters with me, Tony and the boys. It was awesome. She whimped out on the swimming at Typhoon Lagoon, but I can't say that I blame her, especially after Ashton's and wonderful accident in the wave pool (come see me if you want to know the details).

ASHTON grew some major courage that week. She started out not wanting to ride any roller coasters. On our second day, we rode The Barnstomer in Toon Town and she loved it. It was a kid sized roller coaster with all the speed of a normal roller coaster. By the end of the trip, she was riding just about everything. She even rode Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom and Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios.

COLLIN, my nephew....I've always known he was pretty one-tracked minded, but I never knew to what extent...hehehe. We learned just how much he loves Stitch on this trip. By the end of the second day, he had a Stitch hat, Stitch gloves, Stitch back pack and a Stitch pin...that he wore everywhere and in every picture. I can't wait to show him these pictures when he is about 17 or 18 years old...hehehe.

DAD can have a conversation with just about anyone. It is a quality of his that I love and I've also inherited. He bought a Grumpy t-shirt that said "Grumpy Old Man" on it. Little did he know...this t-shirt would soon start a conversation with almost every person that took the time to read it. Most people would say, "You don't look grumpy." and the conversation would begin. It was so fun!

QUINN is more like me that I realized he was. When he figured out he could get his own map for the parks, he grabbed one and started marking off everything we'd seen. He was planning each step as we went. (The funny thing about this though...I was doing the EXACT same thing.)

TONY was my rock during the trip. As most of you know, I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. By about the 4th day, I was sooooo tired. Tony helped me tremendously and he probably doesn't even realize it. I'm the organized one of the two of us and he usually just follows suit. When I started to lag, he took over with my organizational part. He made sure money was ready each morning, made sure we knew how to get to where we were going, made sure we had our daily itenerary...etc, etc. He really let me concentrate on having a good time and making it through one day at a time.

It's only been two weeks since we've been home and it already feels like an eternity. It feels as if the trip was only a dream. Hopefully I can really detail our trip in my scrapbook and the kids will look at the book and remember their own special memories. I'm already planning our next big vacation!!!!
