My friend Catherine did this on her blog and I just thought it was a great way to chronicle "My" year, so I've decided to do it too. (Thanks for the idea Catherine!!)
1. What did you do in 2008 that you had never done before:
I sang with a choir and to music in a Church of Christ
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more next year?
I kept some of them, but other's were quickly forgotten. I love making lists, so of course, I'll do more resolutions for 2009.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I had two very close friends give birth to gorgeous babies (welcome Macee and Spencer). We also had a cousin give birth to beautiful baby girl (welcome Aubree).
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.
5. What countries did you visit?
I stayed in the US all year!
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A closer relationship with God and more willpower.
7. What dates in 2008 will remain etched in your memory and why?
Spending Fall Break in Orlando with my family. It's hard to remember anything other than our trip in 2008.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Learning how to love myself.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Giving up on myself.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes, I stepped on an upside down high heel in the middle of my living room floor and ended up with a huge hole in the bottom of my foot. I had to wear an orthopedic boot for about a month.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Gym membership
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Quinn's...he is a great son, brother, and friend.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Not something I am even concerned with.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Disney World Vacation and paying off bills before we went.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Disney World Vacation
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?

a) happier or sadder? definitely happier
b) thinner or fatter? fatter, but I am working on that one
c) richer or poorer? in money we are still the same, but in blessings, our cup runneth over

Given my family more quality time

Eating

With my family

I fall in love with Tony and my kids each and every day

Eli Stone, Biggest Loser and Secret Life of the American Teenager

Hate is not something I do

The Shack and The Mark of the Lion Series
25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Natasha Bedingfield's Pocketful of Sunshine CD...there are a ton of great songs on this CD
26. What did you want and get?
To take my kids to Disney World
27. What did you want and not get?
To loose my weight before our trip
28. What was your favorite film of this year?
We saw so many movies this year, I'm not sure which one was my favorite. I just love to go!!!
29. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
I turned 35 three days ago. We spent a family day together by going to dinner and then to a movie.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Finding peace with who I am
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Clothes that are comfortable and that fit.
32. What kept you sane?
Tony, Kelly, Pam, Misty, Marti, and Karlin
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Brad and Angelina
34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The presidential election. I am not very political, but I couldn't help but get stirred up with it all.
35. Who did you miss?
My grandparents
36. Who was the best new person that you met?
Karlin...okay, so we really met at the end of 2007, but our friendship seems like it has always been there.
37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
If you live life dwelling on the past or gazing into the future, you are never really living in the present.
