Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

Tony and I went to see BBVD perform at the Civic Center on Friday night. We went with our friends, Karlin and Dywain. We had dinner together and then went to the concert. I absolutely love going to shows at the Civic Center. There isn't a bad seat in the house...unless you are a little afraid of heights like I am....and guess where our seats were...yep, right up in the balcony center. Like I said, there isn't a bad seat in the house, but dang, it was like we were looking straight down. At the end of the show, I couldn't even stand for the ovation. I was too afraid I would lose my balance and go tumbling over.

The group was awesome though! The OKC Philharmonic started out the show and then they performed with BBVD for the majority of their set. The group is big band, swing type music. They have been together for 16 years and they still have all the original members. You can tell they really enjoy what they do. If you ever get the chance, you need to go see them play live!
