A Little "ME" Time

I got to have a full day of "me" time on Saturday. Tony was at the fire station and the kids were at my parent's house. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my time, but I knew I was going to enjoy every minute of it.

I started my day at Stamp Club. My friend Pam had some beautiful projects for us to complete. It's so nice to use my creative brain!

After stamp club, I went to the movies...ALL BY MYSELF! I saw the 10:20 am showing of "He's Just Not That Into You." The movie was awesome. If you've never seen a movie alone, I highly recommend it. I am a major people pleaser...so to be able to sit through a movie and not worry about whether the others with me are enjoying it too...it is very liberating.

After the movie, I had an appointment to get a manicure and pedicure! I had some time to kill though before my appointment, so I stopped in on the Pink Attitude Boutique. I absolutely love boutiques. The clothing is unique, but usually really, really expensive...plus it is very rare that they carry larger sizes, so I'm usually just left drooling over the adorable clothes. To my delight, this store carried larger sizes. I bought a gorgeous shirt and necklace/earrings set. I feel so pretty in it!

I have an awesome nail technician,Alicia! I love going for the pedicure and getting my feet massaged and my toes all prettied up. Alicia is extremely talented and does some of the coolest nail art...all free hand too!

My final event was a night out with the girls of the Shabby Souls book club. We met at the Melting Pot and enjoyed some awesome chocolate fondue. The group of girls is very diverse. We come from many different backgrounds. The love for reading is what brings us together. I borrowed "As Sure As The Dawn" from my friend Kelly and am now reading 3 books again! Whew...I wasn't sure what to do when I was only reading 2...hehehe.

The day was awesome! I feel totally recharged and I know that times like this are what help me a better wife and mother to Tony and the kids.

Glad you got some "me time" in--breaks like those are what keep us going! And I totally agree about going to movies alone--I LOVE to go on my "Mommy's night out"--it is nice to buy the popcorn, drink and candy I want, sit in a movie that I picked (without having to compromise or bribe someone with promises to see the next 3 action flicks)and either laugh or cry or whatever.
