Quinn's Birthday Party

My kids get the choice to have a small, medium, or large birthday party.

Large - Birthday party IS the present from us
Medium - A few presents and a party with friends (usually a sleepover)
Small - A family only party with lots of gifts

Quinn is one those OCD kind of kids. He makes a list for everything...gee, I wonder where he gets that from...hehehe. His latest list making entails listing things he wants to buy and how much they cost. Then he devises a scheme to get the money. So, can you pick which party Quinn chose for his 11th birthday?? Hmmm....you got it....a small one...and all he wanted was $$CASH$$.

I have to admit, this one was a little hard for me. I love giving my kids gifts and seeing the delight in their faces when they open them. To give him ONLY money, means he knows what he's getting and he doesn't have presents to open...well, I guess that isn't necessarily the case...not when you have a mother like me....hehehe. I wrapped Quinn's money in 6 different boxes and told him that I couldn't bring myself to only give him cash. I told him I bought him stuff and that he wouldn't be disappointed. Mwaaa-haaa-haaa!

He moped around most of the afternoon...hehehe...I am so cruel. Then when he opened his presents, he was totally surprised to be getting cash. Of course, he has already spent it all on an iTouch (which, I must admit, I am a little jealous that my 11 year old has an iTouch and I don't...have you seen those things...they are super cool).

The party was lots of fun. I still can't believe I have an 11 year old.

This is the birthday cake that Quinn designed himself...not bad, huh?

Man, I can't believe Quinn is 11! Seems like just yesterday he was bouncing around "pretend" on Ryan's 4 wheeler, crawling up Mom and Dad's stairs, and saying "flip flop" for football! They grow up too fast!

Hope you had a great brithday Quinn! We love you!
