We didn't start our day off quiet so early today. Two nights of working late can wear a person down, so we slept in a little and got to the office at 8:15. We were asked to shorten the training sessions today, so we are hoping to not have to spend as much time in the conference room. Here is a picture of our Westminster, CO office...it is beautiful. The architecture is really amazing!
I'm still not used to looking to the west and seeing mountains. If I lived out here, I wonder how long it would take before I stopped saying..."Wow! Look at the mountains!" Not that I want to move here, but if it were to happen, I would hope I would never lose perspective on God's amazing work in these beautiful mountains.
So much for leaving early, we didn't get out of the office until 6pm last night. We decided to venture to downtown Denver. Little did we know that the Colorado Rockies were playing the Chicago Cubs....ugh...the traffic was insane.
Here is a picture of the downtown skyline that I took while we sat waiting to get past the Coors Field.
When we did finally make it downtown, we went to an area called 16th Street Mall. They have taken this 16 block section of 16th Street, closed it off and turned it into an open air mall. There are tons of shops and restaurants. Of course, we had to visit the Hard Rock and get our souvenir shirts. Then we had dinner at Magianno's. Holy cow...the Italian food was fabulous. After dinner we just wandered around and enjoyed the atmosphere.
We weren't lucky enough to get out of downtown before the game let out, so we were in the same heavy traffic leaving as were coming in...ugh! Another late night!
