I was recently reading through the True Campaign website and I came across an article entitled The Photo Not Taken. As I read through the article, I was suddenly struck with a horrible realization that "This IS Me!". Please click on the link and read the article.....
do do do do do do do (sung to the tune of the Jeopardy song...)
I'm waiting for you to read the article before I continue...
OK, done?
Good!
So, this article made me wonder how many things I have missed out on because of how I view myself. I've missed fun moments in the pool with the kids because I didn't want to wear a swimsuit....We haven't had a new family photo taken since Ashton was 3 because that was the last time I "thought" I was skinny enough to do it....The kids scrapbooks are filled with pictures and I'm not in hardly any of them, because I feel more comfortable behind the camera....I could go on and on and on about this.
I challenge you to consider what it is that YOU are missing out on in life. And change this behavior immediately...if you don't do it for yourself...do it for your daughters (and your sons too!) and anyone else is missing out on YOU in their life. I plan to make this change because I don't want my kids to look back on their lives and remember the things I didn't do with them. I want them to remember a mom who was actively involved. How about you???

WOW, thanks for slapping me in the face with this one. This is me too. There aren't that many pictures of me either. We haven't had a family picture taken in 2 years. Let's conquer this goal together.
