Tony and I had a great time in Branson. We left out Sunday afternoon and the roads weren't bad at all. I found the snow that we were supposed to get in OKC though...It was in Tulsa and Joplin. The funny thing is when we started heading south on hwy 65, it was gone. The only snow we saw in Branson was little bitty bits in the trees. I have to admit, I was kinda hoping for a pretty Big Cedar winter scene. The weather the rest of the week was fabulous.
We did some shopping at The Landing. I got a dress for Chips for Charity on Saturday night. I LOVE it too! I got it at White House Black Market. One of my all time favorite stores. I haven't been able to fit into their clothes, so it is awesome to finally be able to. Of course the dress was on sale...cause that place is 'spensive.
We saw one Branson show and really enjoyed it. It's called SIX. It is 6 brothers who do acapella and instrumental music with their voices. Amazing! The show was a little cheesy at times, but they have to appeal to the 'metamucil crowd'. Our seats were on the front row, center stage, so of course we were picked on during the comedic parts of the show. Or I should say, I was picked on. But for my embarrasment, I got a free copy of their gospel CD. So, I figure it was worth the blushing cheeks. (You can click their logo to learn more about them.)
Tony and I have decided that we need to make this trip an annual for us. Just him and I in Branson for a few days. It was very relaxing!
My next trip to Branson will be for our annual girls weekend in a few weeks. We aren't staying at Big Cedar this time though, we'll be in town at Falls Village. So, that puts us closer to the shopping!!!
