Let's Shred

Wednesday night at our financial peace class, we were given the assignment of bringing our credit cards to class so we could cut them up! This wasn't too horrible for me and Tony...especially since the cards are useless when they are maxxed out....hehehe...only kidding...only one was maxxed out. Anyways, it is kind of liberating to actually shred a credit card. Before, we kept them in our safe deposit box so at least it would take some effort to get to them. But to know now that they are GONE!...it feels great!

Here is a picture of Tony shredding our cards and also a picture of all of the cards that were shredded that night. I was sure hoping for at least one dramatic person that didn't want to do it, but we were all very mature and had no problems letting them go.

Oh yeah...I just made the last payment on one of our loans today! Yay! That debt snowball idea really does work. Now, we just have 3 more loans/credit cards to pay off. If I have done the math correctly, we should be debt free by about Nov 2012. I know that seems like a long ways off, but hopefully we can stay disciplined and GET 'ER DONE!!!
