Plateaus aren't just flat pieces of land....

Well, I have officially hit my first plateau since surgery. For the last two weeks, I have not gained or lost...it's like my body is in a holding pattern. I'm trying not to get too frustrated, there are a lot of circumstances that have occurred in the last two weeks that could be spurring on this change (or lack there of):
1. Trip to Branson (it was hard not to snack...that's what you do on trips anyways, right?)
2. Chips for Charity - very stressful and very busy, so my workout schedule and food planning was interrupted
3. End of Quarter at work - VERY, VERY stressful, I've eaten lunch at my desk the last 3 days and have not gotten a work out in since right after Branson.
I know that to some people these are excuses, but they are the reality of my life as it is right now.

I still have a few more days before I can officially call our end of quarter over, but I'm done with not leaving the office for lunch. So today, I AM going to go to the gym at lunch and then head over and get my tan sprayed on...I need a little color for Easter Sunday.

I hope this plateau breaks soon. I'll keep you posted.

Finishing our quarter and eating at my desk as I read this. HA! Yes, I understand the stesses.

I remember you getting spray tanned before we went to the lake a few years ago. I need to do it too, but think the one day of being sticky would drive me nuts!

HAPPY EASTER!

Hang in there, girl--just get through the end of the quarter, then make the commitment to get back in the swing of things. For me, I know if I miss a few workouts, it is SO HARD to get back into the habit, but once I just GO and break the string of workout-free days, it is so easy to keep up the habit. Don't beat yourself up about it, just recognize it for what it is and get back to the healthy habits as soon as you can. You've been doing so awesome so far--this plateau will break soon, once you get into a better place stress-wise.
