MY DAY, IN GREAT DETAIL
So, here is my Monday...yesterday, August 23.
My alarm went off at 6am and I cringed...I thought the day was actually Tuesday and Tony and I were getting up for our 5am walk. I was excited when I realized it was Monday.
Yes, I just said excited and Monday in the same sentence.
So, I snoozed the alarm and curled up with Tony in our warm bed. The snooze was over at 6:07am and I crawled out of bed. In the kitchen, Quinn was already up, dressed and starting his breakfast...freak of nature, I know!
I sat on the couch and put on my make up. Then, I went into the bathroom and curled my hair..when I curl my hair I don't wash it that day, so I didn't have to dry it...Yay! Then I got dressed and sat in the living room watching The Today Show. Tony took Quinn to school at 7:30am so he could take the crazy 6 reams of copy paper that were on his supply list...if you ask me, that is crazy that we are having to provide the schools copy paper and that they expect the kids be to able to carry them...imagine if he had to ride the bus.
Ashton and I watched some TV and I fixed three holes that were in the sweater she wanted to wear. Yes, I do sew, but minimally. While sewing I also had my daily breakfast of one turkey sausage link with a slice of 2% American cheese melted on top. Once Tony was home, I left for work...about 8:10am.
Traffic was horrible, so I didn't get to work until 9am....of course this included a brief stop at Johnnie's express so I could get my morning iced tea.
At work, I get out my laptop and practically empty the contents of my purse onto my desk. For some reason I always get my planner, wallet and checkbooks out so I can make sure everything is up to date. I also get my ipod out, stick in my earbuds and zone out any noise around me. I always check my work email first and then my voice mail. After that I check my yahoo email, my blogger dashboard for updates and then both of my bank accounts. This is how my morning always goes.
I took lunch at 11:30 today, but didn't count it as actual lunch time since I ate at my desk. I do this as a cheating strategy so I can then go into the quiet room and read for an hour. I have finally started The Hunger Games and I really like it so far.
After lunch, I came back to my desk and monitored my email all day...since this is where most of work comes from, questions and submissions from sales people and project managers in the field, I am usually linked into and respond to emails almost like they were instant messages. I also did a little blogging since it is crazy dead at work right now.
I got home from work a little after 5 and Tony had dinner all ready for us. After dinner, Tony and Quinn went out to the BMX track so Quinn could practice on the track. Ashton and I went off to Kohl's to try to find me some new bras. I left with three new bras and thought I had done a good job...more on this in a sec.
Ashton and I got home at about 7 and I started cleaning the kitchen. While I was doing this Ashton was having friend drama so I wasn't able to get the entire kitchen cleaned the way I wanted to. But at least it is half way done.
Tony and Quinn made it home around 8:30, so I tried on all 3 bras for him and after his close inspection, we both agreed that they didn't fit right...so they will be going to Kohl's and the shopping for a bra that fits well will continue.
The kids were off to bed at 9 and after some news and reading, my light was off at 10:30. Tomorrow will be a whole new day.

I love that you shared your day like this! All those honest details, just makes me love you more! I giggled about Tony helping you with your bra also, so cute!
LOL! I don't miss Avaya (the work) but I DO miss Avaya (the people). Glad you are having some down time at work. I know it will be crazy for you again soon enough when end of fiscal year comes around!!
