MY WEEK, IN GREAT DETAIL
Tuesday, August 17 through Tuesday, August 24...I will not be going into as much detail as I did on yesterday's post...but I warn you, this was a busy, busy week, so lots to share.
Tuesday, Aug 17
Work during the day, left early for the night's events.
Back to school night at Ashton's school from 4-4:30
Picked up a pizza for dinner
7th Grade Orientation at Quinn's school from 6-7:30
We stopped at Tony's part-time job to visit with him and after that we headed off to both Wal-Mart and Target to go supply shopping (since they waited until this night to give us the list)
We got home around 8:30, got the kids off to bed and Tony texted saying he'd be working late. So, I cuddled up in bed and read. Turned off the light at 10:15. At 11 woke up to Tony being home and immediately remembered that I had forgotten to feed Alli...I'm sure a bad mom.
Tuesday is over...finally off to sleep
Wednesday, Aug 18
Left the house for work around 7:45, so I got to take my 8am call in the car. I consider this being at work time...hehehe. Is that cheating?
Worked during the day...left early for an eye appointment for both Quinn and me.
Eye appointment at 4:30 to make sure Quinn was doing well with his contacts and to get my new glasses fitted.
We had dinner at Harry Bear's...a healthy dinner of salad and fried cheese.
Church was skipped and we spent the rest of the night getting ready for the first day of school the next day.
I made the clips for the refrigerator.
I have no idea what time we went to bed this night...who knows...obviously nothing too exciting happened.
Thursday, Aug 19
This day was the first day of school.
We woke up at 6am and I made the kids a special breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes.
We took Quinn to school first and dropped him off at 7:40.
We went home and waiting for a bit before walking Ashton to school. We took her at 8:30...it was kinda cool to walk her to school.
After that Tony and I went back home, he left to take care of some errands and I stayed at home to work.
Since I worked from home Tony and I enjoyed a lunch together at Logan's in Norman.
After lunch it was back to the house to work. Quinn got home (with absolutely no homework) at 2:45'ish'. At 3:25, we walked and met Ashton on her way home.
I finished my day out at home and then went to Nicole's to ride with her to our first Junior Hospitality general meeting.
The meeting was over at about 8. I am on the arrangements committee so I staying to clean up and wait for Nicole to get out of her BOD meeting.
Got home that night around 9:30 and was off to bed, as I was exhausted.
Friday, Aug 20
Got to work at 8:15 and did my normal log-in routine, but then left at 8:55 for my 9 month post-op appointment at WeightWise.
I finished there at 11 and picked up lunch at Sonic...the yummy insides of a sausage breakfast burrito.
Got back to work for my afternoon of back to back conference calls.
Got home in time to see Quinn off to the Redhawks baseball game with a friend. I cooked dinner for Tony, Ash and me, then my friend Jeana picked me up for book club.
We met for sno-cones at Hawaiian Mike's and then went to Earlywine park to discuss our books in the shade (which ironically doesn't help much when it is in the high 90's)
After book club, Ashton and I curled up in my bed while Tony and Quinn played some PS3. I turned off the light that night at about 10:30.
Saturday, Aug 21
Woke up at 9am with Tony snuggled next to me and Sookie sleeping on top of my back leaning against Tony for support...can it get any better than this??
We milled around for a while and then headed to Shawnee to visit my parents. We had lunch with them and my aunt and uncle, who were in town from Ft. Gibson.
We spent the afternoon hanging out at my parents.
Tony, Quinn and Dad went to see Piranha 3D which started at 5 and they quickly returned at 6 since the rating of R was for more than blood and gore. I think my 12 year old got a little sex ed...yikes! I'm glad they made the decision to leave the movie.
We left my parents around 7 and headed back home. We stopped for sno cones at our favorite sno cone spot and then went to Office Depot to get even more school supplies for Quinn, but we decided to get them Wal-Mart since Office Depot was crazy 'spensive.
We got home around 8:30 and were off to bed at 9:30.
Sunday, Aug 22
Tony and I woke up at 5am to start our marathon training mileage build-up...a 4 mile walk...however, we only completed 2 miles as my stomach was giving me fits and we had return back home.
We decided to go back to sleep and set the alarm for church. Oops! When Tony snoozed the alarm he actually turned it off. I woke back up at 10:45 and sent a quick text to my friends Jeana and Susan to let them we had overslept and wouldn't be at church.
I fell back to sleep and ended up sleeping at 11:20. Does that tell you exhausted I was? Gees!
I got up and got dressed so I get groceries, otherwise, our family wouldn't have been eating.
Wal-Mart was a thrill. We got the last of Quinn's school supplies, or so we thought.
Lunch consisted of taco meat with melted cheese and guacamole.
Ashton had a friend over to play so we got to put with the two of them. We went out around 4pm to finally finish Quinn's school supply shopping at Office Depot (the one last thing that Wal-mart didn't have). Then we went to Tractor Supply to get pet food both Alli and Sookie.
When we got home, Ash's friend left and we started dinner. We had Hawaiian Grilled Chicken...one of our favorites.
We watched Confession of a Shopaholic. The kids and Tony went to our neighbor's house at 7:45 so the kids could swim in their new pool. While they were gone I enjoyed a nice quiet house and a long hot bath all to myself.
I did the dishes, got the kids off to bed and was off to bed myself.
Monday, Aug 23
Just see this post for everything I did on this day...no point in re-hashing it all.
Tuesday, Aug 24
Tony and I woke up bright and early...okay not as bright as early...at 5am to go for our 3 mile walk. It was beautiful out too. There was a full moon and lightening off in the distance as the wonderful rain showers moved into the metro area.
Left for work a little late and with raining weather traffic, I got there late. But spent the day doing my normal, working, reading and blogging.
After work, I stopped by Prairie Gypsies to pick up our dinner of Margarita Chicken...YUM, YUM!!
After that, Tony hauled me out the door to Victoria's Secret to get a bra that fits properly. I was only able to get two though since the VS cost is three times what I had spent at Kohl's...but at least it fits! Right?
We spent the rest of the evening watching TV. At bedtime, Tony decided he was going to stay up playing PS3 and I didn't argue, I was dying to read The Hunger Games more. I ended up staying up until midnight and finished the first book. Now on to book two.
