Tony has had a pain in his right forearm for the past couple of weeks and it was getting unbearable, to the point that he wasn't able to sleep at night. For fear that he has done something severe to his arm, he made the decision to go see our doctor. Of course, they referred him to an Orthopedic Specialist. He saw the specialist on Wednesday and they have confirmed that his tendon is severely damaged and needs time to heal....so what does this mean?
A beautiful red cast for the next 4 weeks. Yep, Tony is in a cast for 4 weeks, during the hottest part of the summer....yuck! Which also means, no work for Tony. The fire station doesn't have "light duty", so he is now off work until he is released by the doctor. I'm sure he is going to go stir crazy and I'll be ready for him to get back to work, but in a weird way I am happy he is getting time off...I mean, the kids won't have to go to summer camp anymore, Tony can take them to appointments, he can run all my errands, he can keep my house clean...oh wait!...am I looking at this the wrong way....hehehehe.
Keep Tony in your thoughts and pray that his arm heals quickly.
Oh! What's that? You want to know how he hurt his arm? Well, let me 'splain...Quinn and Tony went to a boys lock-in a couple of weeks ago and Tony played about 3 hours of dodgeball.
Yes, you heard me correctly. Tony hurt his arm playing dodgeball. Guess that's what you get when you're 36 and you try to "hang" with the kids...we are getting older, after all, and our bodies just aren't as resilient as they used to be.

Oh no! Tony will be in our prayers for a quick recovery. Let's look at this from my point of view though... Age 36 + 3 hours of dodgeball = 4 weeks off work.... PRICELESS! :)
oh no! Hope he is better soon!
