Waiting to Exhale

This has been such a long week. Not that I've done anything, in fact, I have done NOTHING! You might recall that I went for a check up at the doctor's a few weeks ago...well, during that visit my doctor expressed concerned over my low blood pressure, dizzy spells and fatigue. He said he wanted me to see a cardiologist, but didn't tell me to change anything.

So, rather than listening to my body, I began "training" for the marathon. Training is a loose term since at most Tony and I only walked 4 miles, but it was enough to send my body over the edge. By this past Sunday, I had hit a huge brick wall. Exhaustion and very low blood pressure...so I took off sick on Monday and Tuesday and then have been working from either my bed or my couch the rest of this week.

Today I finally had the appointment of the cardiologist, but without tests, there isn't much he can say yet. So I am scheduled for an echo cardiogram and a tilt test later in the month. He doesn't think it is anything too serious, but wants to do the tests to rule out some things.

So, now I just wait and I do what I can to feel better, since I can't work from home every day. I'll feel better when I have these two tests done and the doctor can determine how best to treat whatever it is that is making me feel so crummy. So, for now I continue to hold my breath and wait to exhale.
