Saturday night, Nicole, Natalie and I went to Ponca City for InSight Paranormal's Stage Fright 2010. I have always been intrigued by paranormal activity, but since finally meeting a friend that is as into it as I am, I have really been able to let my freak flag fly.
InSight Paranormal has investigated The Poncan Theatre many times. The theatre was built in 1927 and you can feel the history when you walk in the door. The architecture just oozes with old oil money. The theatre is still open for different events...live plays and even old silent films. You can read more about the Poncan at their website by clicking

The evening started with a presentation on the history of the theatre and information on paranormal investigations. It was so neat to hear about the theatre and learn more about the instruments that they use when investigating a location.
After a short dinner break, we met back for our hour and a half investigation. We investigated three different areas of the theatre that are known for their activity...the balcony, the dressing rooms under the stage and the auditorium. I held Natalie's hand for most of the hour and a half. (Thanks for protecting me Nat..hehehe!)
The balcony was first so of course I was really nervous. The more comfortable I got with the process the better it was. We didn't have any major happenings in the balcony, but there were different noises (both audible and caught by digital recorder) that could not be explained as someone in our group.
(I took this pic in the balcony during a break. You can see some light dust specs, but also the two bright ones are "orbs". An orb is defined as a spot that emits it's own light...looks like it is emitting light to me...how about you?)
Next we went down into the dressing rooms. This was a really neat area and if you closed your eyes, you could picture all the old vaudeville actors and dancers running all over getting ready for the show. I didn't feel anything during this portion, but both Natalie and Nicole did. In fact, they both felt someone touching their shoulders. Do I believe them? Heck yeah!!! Am I jealous? Heck no! I am glad I wasn't touched, it would have totally freaked me out. Maybe on my next investigation..hehehe.
Our final investigation was done in the auditorium. Oh. My. Goodness. This part was crazy. Nicole felt her chair moved and even jumped up and accused the guy behind her of grabbing her chair. He was adamant that he hadn't touched it. Our group leader asked Nicole to move to the rear of the auditorium where he had seen some shadows move...she was so brave to move back there alone. I don't think I could've done it. After a few minutes, he asked Nat and I to move back there with her. Nicole's chair was moved again, but then Natalie and I both heard footsteps behind us...and there wasn't anyone behind us. I was so excited after that.

We left there at 10:30pm and I could have easily stayed for another session. I've decided that we need to do a later investigation time next year and stay the night in Ponca City...that way we can be there after the ghosts have been all warmed up...How does that sound girls??
I cannot wait to do it again and I really hope they will do many more in the OK area. As long as the ghosts are nice, I am there!
