Weekend in Missouri (Lots of Pics)

We spent our fall break weekend at my sister's in Missouri. Her son is 7 months younger than Quinn so the boys have a great time together.

There was a shocking revelation though when we first saw Collin...well, let me back up first. Quinn and Collin are always standing against each other to see who is tallest. Collin has been winning of late...until now. Quinn has grown over a head taller than Collin and I didn't even notice it. But now that I have seen it with a little perspective I am shocked by how much he has grown. Can I put books on his head or something?

Friday night we ate dinner at a great pizza joint called Spin and then went to see Secretariat.

On Saturday, we spent most of the day at the house.

Collin's birthday is on Oct 28, so we had a small family party. Robin made the cake...isn't it adorable. I am so jealous of her talent sometimes.

We also got to watch Collin play football. His team is undefeated and they won Saturday's game 29-0 (which apparently wasn't good enough) :(

Sunday we packed up the car and headed to Kansas City, KS to eat an amazing brunch at Granite City. We may need to make this a tradition when we go to visit them.

After that we said our goodbyes and headed out...sorta. Tony talked the kids and I into making a 20 minute detour to the Cabela's store. If you don't know, Cabela's is like Bass Pro and is their biggest competitor. Since Tony is now a deer hunter, he can't get enough of those kinds of places. Luckily he was good to us and we only hung around there for about 45 minutes.

We then headed South on I-35...did you know that I-35 is all toll road through Kansas and it costs $10.75 to drive from the beginning to the end...and there isn't even nice scenery...hehehe. I've always hated that drive and glad that we don't have to take it very often.

On the way back into to OK, we decided to stop through Arcadia and visit Pop's. It was really neat and the kids loved picking out their own 6 pack of bottled pop. If you haven't visited Pop's you need to check it out.

We were glad to be back home Sunday night, but I am really happy I got to see my sister and her family.
