Chloe needs a holiday. She's sick of making wedding dresses, her partner Philip has troubles at work, the whole family wants a break. Her wealthy friend Gerard has offered the loan of his luxury villa in Spain - perfect.
Hugh is not a happy man. His immaculate wife Amanda seems more interested in her new kitchen than in him, and he works so hard to pay for it, he barely has time for his children. Maybe he'll have a chance to bond with them on holiday. His old friend Gerard has lent them a luxury villa in Spain - perfect.
Both families arrive at the villa and realise the awful truth - Gerard has double-booked. What no-one else realises is that Chloe and Hugh have a history; and as tensions rise within the two families, old passions resurface. It seems that Gerard's 'accidental' double booking may not be an accident after all...
First off, I will not be recommending this book. But it is more for personal preference than it is for the book itself. Overall the book was really pretty entertaining, but there were aspects of the book I didn't much care for...SPOILER ALERT....I wasn't thrilled when the two characters Chloe and Hugh ignite old passions by cheating on their spouses....I wasn't thrilled when Chloe's 16 year son has sex with the 20'something' nanny....I wasn't thrilled when in the end it was all okay because it was mistake and we'll never our spouses.
NOPE. That just doesn't cut it for me.
I've decided I need to immerse myself in something a little different, so I will be finishing Lineage of Grace..finally. The funny thing though, I am on Bathsheba. And what else is Bathsheba's story filled with but lust and adultery.

You told me that you liked Francine Rivers and I've had several readers tell me the same thing. As a writer of Christian fiction I would like to know what it is you like about her. Can you go into detail, please? My next book is going to be funny (I hope) and I want to be able to sell books to the secular audience as much as she does.
I also have noticed that while she is known as a Christian author she is very seldome touted as one.
