My weekend was busy all three days....but so worth it. I enjoyed every bit of it.
Friday night our book club met at a neat little coffee house in Norman called Michelangelo's. When I called to get tables saved for us though, the owner didn't tell me there would be live music. Live music and talking about books don't go very well together. So, the 9 of us huddled around a coffee table and tried to hear each other the best we could. I'm sure we looked really funny since we were all straining to hear each other. It was still fun though. I love talking books with my girlfriends.
Saturday morning was the Oakcrest Ladies Day. A week and a half ago, I was asked to come up with an easy 10 - 15 minute craft and have enough supplies for 100 ladies to make one. It was a lot of work, but I love doing this type of thing. Sadly, only about 35 ladies made it out to the event. So, I have a ton of supplies left...ugh! Guess I'll just store them away for next time.
Tony and I were supposed to go on a date Saturday night, but out babysitter fell through...which ended up being okay, since Tony was in bed all day nursing a migraine. We'll just have to go to a movie some other time.
Then, on Sunday afternoon, the kids and I went to see Shrek the Musical. My mom's friend, Kay, just loves Quinn and Ashton. (I guess we are doing something right with them, huh.) She invited me, the kids and my mom to go see the show with her. It was so much fun. The humor was great and I loved all the singing and dancing. We truly enjoyed ourselves. (Kay...Thank you so much for such a special day!!)
