Being married to a fireman, who also has a second job, is exhausting sometimes...if I didn't have our handy-dandy calendar, I would never know when he was gonna be home. Especially when said fireman has taken up hunting. So in the last 7 days, Tony has either been at the fire station, at his second job or hunting. We literally only saw him for a couple hours at a time over the holiday.
To add insult to injury, I have pretty much been sick since Thanksgiving...it started with a couple of sneezes and has worked it's way up to coughin', snottin' and sleepin'. Thank goodness my kids are at the age where they can take care of themselves. I'm not exactly sure what they ate while I slept this weekend...but there are dirty dishes in the sink, so I at least know they did eat...hehehe.
Since Tony was working the holiday, the kids, my parents and I went to Ft. Gibson to spend the day at my Aunt Brenda's.

When we were kids, we typically went to their house once a month and they came to ours once a month. It was definitely our home away from home. I didn't get to see either of my cousins during the visit, but I did see their kids which gave my kids someone to play with. {bonus}

My aunt has an adorable kitten that has adopted their family. Her name is Milo and she was so friendly. We tried to sneak her home, but decided Sookie would probably not like it if we did that...hehehe. (Not that my Aunt Brenda would let Milo go home with us anyways...but we did try.)
Ash and Milo on the computer! Too dang cute!
Even though I didn't feel well, I enjoyed the holiday and was glad we made the trip east. (Thanks for having us over to share your Holiday, Bren!)
