Generational Differences

This morning, Ashton decided to get out her sewing box and do some stitches on her fabric scraps. Before she got started though, the conversation took a funny little turn...

Ashton: I think I wanna try to sew on some buttons. I've never done them.
Me: Buttons are easy.
Ashton: Yeah, I've done them on my [Nintendo] DS and they were easy.

Hehehe...what has happened to a world where you learn how to do something by actually "doing" it. I wonder what experiences they are missing by virtually doing tasks that we had to actually do when we were kids. Like walk to school, in the snow, up hills both ways...whatever happened to those times?? :D

I am married to my best friend and am the mom of two wonderful kids. I have had my ups and downs in regards to health, happiness and weight loss. This blog will tell you about all of those ups and downs and my opinion on the randomness that we call life.
