I am very frustrated with Tony's fire station.
Let me give you some background. Tony works for a very small city. They have three rotating shifts of that have 4 men each. The minimum they can have on shift is 3, so that allows one of them to be off at a time. They have two shifts right now that are down to 3 men, so if someone gets sick or hurt, someone from another shift has to cover the time.
Now back to my frustration. Tony just finished his four day and is starting his rotation....24 hour shifts on Wednesday (today), Friday and Sunday. He goes in a 7am each day and gets off at 7am the next day. Well, when got to work today, he was told that they were down to two men on tomorrows shift and he was gonna be the one to work. No option to say no. Because this falls in between his normal shifts, it means he is at the fire station for 3 days straight...from 7am this morning until 7am Saturday morning. No leaving. No running home. It is almost like house arrest, except with the occasional medical or fire call.
These are the days that I wonder why he was never able to get on at a larger station. What does God have in our plan for him to be where he is? What is in the "big picture" that we aren't seeing?
I just feel so badly for him. Yes, I am upset that I won't have him around for three full days, but I really do empathize with him. It's like a business trip without getting to go out of town.

YIKES! Poor Tony! How miserable! Does he work for Moore or a smaller "burb"?
He doesn't even work in a "burb". He works in a small town south of Norman. And I mean SMALL.
Lindsay, OK? I have a friend who is a medic down there.
