Well, before I dive head first into the new weekend, (Only 5 more hours til quitin' time!! Woop Woop!)I figured I should update you on what I did last weekend. Friday night, we celebrated Quinn's birthday with friends and family. I let him invite 10 friends (boys and girls) and shortly after they arrived, I was regretting this decision. OMG! I never realized how loud 6 boys with newly deepened voices could get. It was so nerve racking. Thank goodness the weather was nice and we could send out to the back yard. (This is the gift he got from his girlfriend. It is a cute photo collage of their first date! Ok, say it with me...AHHHHH!)
For gifts, Quinn only wanted money. He's been saving up to get an Xbox 360. And you know that I detest giving boring old money in a boring old card. So, we sent him on a sort of scavenger hunt to find the money. I'll do a post later and share each clue that gave him money at each spot. It was really fun, but pretty difficult to come up with all of the rhyming clues. Three of the boys stayed the night and can you believe they set an alarm to get up at 6am on a Saturday morning? I was shocked. He said it was so they could play more PS3 before one of the boys had to leave at 8:30. Luckily, they were pretty quiet and let me sleep until about 7:30. Quinn ended up going home with one of his friends on Saturday and Tony was at the fire station, so Ashton and I got an impromptu girls day. She let me rest until 2pm, then we went off to Dillards to get Origins make overs. It was a lot of fun, but we both looked pretty trampy with our make-up. The ladies at Origins aren't the best at applying make-up. We picked up some dinner and rented a couple of movies. We loved them both. The first was You Again with Jamie Lee Curtis and Sagornie Weaver. OMG! This was laugh out loud funny. We all had one tormentor in HS (unless you were the one doing the tormenting???), so it was funny to reflect on my HS days as I watched this movie.
Second, we watched Morning Glory. I am a huge Rachel McAdams fan and think she can pretty much do no wrong. And since her name was Becky in this movie, I thought it was even better. Another great movie, that I highly recommend.
Sunday, was Tony's birthday, so we met his parents for lunch. He is finally as old as me. It was a nice weekend and I enjoyed all the time I got to spend with different family members.
