Since having two kids, we have been VERY lucky parents. Neither of the kids have had activities that overlapped each other. So, we have not had to run two kids in two different directions at the same time.
That is...UNTIL NOW.
Eighth Grade band is just like a sport. They will play at games, events and even SHS Graduation. Last week was our first week with a taste of what it's like to be "normal" parent with kids going every different direction.
Tuesday, Ashton and I enjoyed a wonderful fall football game...Highland West JH vs. Highland East JH. It was so much fun to be in the bleachers watching the game, the cheerleaders and enjoying the band.
I could tell Quinn really enjoyed himself. I sure hope he does like it, because 9th Grade Band (High School) will be even more eventful for him.
Thursday night they played at the Southmoore HS vs. Muskogee HS game. A real taste of what HS band is all about. He was exhausted to have to be out late on a school night, but he said he had fun (aside from the tongue incident that you can read about by clicking HERE).
Being at the game really made me realize how much I enjoy JH and HS football. There is just something fantastic in the cool, fall air.
