Off the Book Shelf - An Ellen Hopkins Duo

Ever since my friend Nicole introduced me to Ellen Hopkins, I have been hooked.  Her writing style is so unique and I am amazed with how she can tell such an intricate story with so few words.

Recently, she released two books that are companions...Triangles and Tilt.  Triangle  is an adult release and follows three women and how the events in their lives is turning them and their families upside down.  Tilt is a young adult book and follows the lives of the three teenage kids belonging to the three women in Triangle.  I loved how each book related to each other and I was able to connect things as I read.  But honestly, each book could be read alone and I don't feel as if you would be missing anything by only reading one or the other.
