Spring Cleaning Kick-Off

I officially kicked off our 2010 Spring Cleaning this past weekend. I'll be the first to admit that I am not the best housekeeper. If I can close the door when company comes over, then it usually means that room gets neglected...A LOT! The most neglected rooms in our house are our room, the kids rooms and my scrapbook room...(Can I also include my car on this list???). So, my goal is to get these all back in shape by the end of May. I've actually heard that clutter impedes weight loss...well actually, the stress that clutter induces is what impedes weight loss....so it's time to clean house!

We started this past weekend with Quinn's room. For his birthday, he asked for a new bookcase and for us to rearrange his room. So that is exactly what we are gonna do. I didn't get a picture of his room before he started emptying things out, but this is the pile of stuff that has filtered into my living room.



Quinn got completely overwhelmed when it came time to move stuff back into his room, so this pile has been there for almost a week now. But as if Thursday night, he is officially done and I really like how it looks. I think it seems more grown up than before.





Next room....our room and closet....wish me luck.
