Christmas Catch-Up

Cannon Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. And it was basically spread out into a full week and gift giving wonderment.

We started the week before Christmas with my mom's family at our annual "Cannon Family Christmas". My great-aunt Dionna hosted this year. She and my uncle, Charles, live in Ada on 160+ acres.

I really love going to Ada. On this same land, sits the house that my great-grandmother, Gommy, and great-grandfather, Pop, lived in. Gommy's house, and Charles and Dionna's house, bring back so many wonderful memories for me.

Be looking for a blog post that takes me on a trip down memory lane. I just need to be my pictures all gathered up.

Smith Christmas
We celebrated Christmas at my mom's house on the 23rd. Between Tony's work schedule and having to share my sister with her new in-laws, this was the only time we had to get together.

My dad's brother, Uncle Roger, also came for dinner. It's nice to see my dad and his brother reconnecting.

We had a really good time. The kids got some great presents, but I just really enjoyed visiting with my parents and Robin and Vince.

Christmas Morning
Tony worked Christmas Eve this year, so the kids had to patiently wait for Tony get home from work Christmas morning. I thought it would be easier to keep them out of everything since they are older, boy was wrong. I had to "shew" them out of their stockings a couple of times.

Once Tony got home, the kids wanted Tony and I to open our presents first. It is so cute to see them get joy out of giving gifts to each other and to us. As fun as it is to get gifts, gift giving is the the ultimate joy.

Brum Christmas
After we finished at our house on Christmas morning, we headed out to Tony's parent's house.

Then we headed over to Grandma Brum's house for Christmas dinner.

It was a really nice Christmas, but it seems to end so quickly. Months and months of planning for it all to be over so quickly.
