I need to vent for moment...have you ever mistakenly called someone by the wrong gender pronoun?..for instance called a person a "he" when in fact they are actually a "she" or vice versa...or has this happened to you?
In this day and time when we talk to people all over the world via email and what-not, it is hard to know the sex of an individual and which pronoun to use...especially when the person has a cross-gender name...like Shawn, Kelly, Pat, Chris...etc, etc, etc.
Well, today, I inadvertently referred to a person named Shawn as a he and her response back to me, which was done as a reply all, rather than just emailing me, was to say "I am a she not a he". That was actually the first line of her email. OMG! Are you kidding me? How rude!
Is it hard to just email me directly and let me know so I don't make the mistake again? Why is it necessary to embarrass me to the general population of that email? I guess she wanted the embarrassment to be tit for tat.

I did that a couple of times over the phone. It was really embarrassing...one lady was so upset she hung up on me!!
Ladies...stop smoking! That is my advice! LOL!
Giving HER the benefit of the doubt, maybe she accidently hit reply all. Ok, maybe not. She could have done it in a more tactiful way.
Okay I will never complain about the name 'Kathie' ever again.
