It is obvious the genre of books that I really enjoy....Young Adult Sci-Fi. And these next two book reviews fit that perfectly.
The first is the Power of Six. This is the sequel to I Am Number Four. And it was a wonderful extension to the story. In fact, I think it was better than the first one. I love this book series and cannot wait to see them make this into a movie.
I've seen him on the news. Followed the stories about what happened in Ohio. John Smith, out there, on the run. To the world, he's a mystery. But to me . . . he's one of us.
Nine of us came here, but sometimes I wonder if time has changed us—if we all still believe in our mission. How can I know? There are six of us left. We're hiding, blending in, avoiding contact with one another . . . but our Legacies are developing, and soon we'll be equipped to fight. Is John Number Four, and is his appearance the sign I've been waiting for? And what about Number Five and Six? Could one of them be the raven-haired girl with the stormy eyes from my dreams? The girl with powers that are beyond anything I could ever imagine? The girl who may be strong enough to bring the six of us together?
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They tried to catch Number Four in Ohio—and failed.
I am Number Seven. One of six still alive.
And I'm ready to fight.
The next book is The Accidental Werewolf. Although this one IS NOT young adult, it is sci-fi. But let me tell you, this is one action packed, silly, LOL, HOT, sensual story. It was a perfect fluff read and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
When Marty Andrews gets bitten by a mutt, the hair on her legs starts growing at an alarming rate and her mood swings put her dream job as a cosmetic sales rep in serious jeopardy. Then a drool-worthy man shows up at her door claiming that he accidentally bit Marty. And since he's a werewolf, that means she is now, too... .
I am currently reading book 9 of the House of Night series...yep...vampires! I know, I know, I am so predictable!
