Christmas Decor

My decorations all have a central theme this year...they were all inspired by Pinterest. I just love getting new ideas, especially ones that use things that I already have around the house.

These were kind of hard. They are card stock with the images cut out of them. They took far too much time, but by the time I figured that out, I was already half finished, so I just willed myself to go on.

I have always wanted little trees by our front door. We had the pots in our attic, so we spray painted them black. The trees are made from tomato cages that are wrapped in garland and lights. Super easy and cheap.

I found this frame in my closet (with a really old family pictures of us...yikes!) and spray painted it red. Then I spray painted some pine cones in really pretty bright colors and voila...a frontdoor "wreath".

There was no repurposing on this, but since we have to use a tiny little table tree (thanks to Sookie), I wanted to do a little more decorating. So we bought shatter proof ornaments and draped them over the curtain rods.

I just love to sit in the house and enjoy all of the decorations. It feels so Christmasey!!

I LOVE the first picture. How fun! So pretty too! I'm jealous. Our Christmas decorations are pretty sparse and mostly handed down to me. Perhaps I need to get off my duff and make me some new ones this year!
