Recovering

Well, the sugery went well. I was at home and in back in bed resting by Thursday afternoon.

I was so looking forward to getting some pain medicine induced rest, but I had no such luck. They prescribed Hyrdocodone every 4 hours and believe it or not, it does not knock me out. Doesn't even make me the slightest bit sleepy. Boo! That stinks.

I took my first shower on Sunday and it was not a party. I almost passed out and was so thankful Tony was in there with me. He to lay me on the floor of the bathroom to keep me from going down involuntarily.

My second shower was yesterday and it went SO much better. It felt so good to get clean and not feel like I was gonna face plant on the tile floor.

I am now trying to wean myself off the pain meds. I took my pain pill right at bed time and decided to wait until I woke up to take another. I didn't wake up in horrible pain, but I was much achier and looking forward to another pill. In trying to wean, it is wearing me a little bit more and I can't wait to take a nap.

My arms are very sore too and that completely surprised me. I still don't have full range of motion so I can't reach above my head.

I am looking forward to my post-op appointment on Friday. I truly appreciate everyone's prayers and kind words.
