If you really pay attention, we are all confronted with roadblocks on a daily basis. Some may be too small to notice, but others stop us in our tracks. But when you have a particular item you are asking God to provide, how do you keep going when the roadblock appears? Do you take the roadblock as God's way of saying this item isn't in His plan? Or do you continue on with faith that God will provide what you are asking for?
After my sleep study yesterday, I was so discouraged. Ok...so the sleep study went great. I had a great nights sleep and do not have any signs of sleep apnea. So, from a health perspective, "woo hoo!!!" but from an insurance paying for this surgery perspective "boo hoo!!!" :( Why was it so discouraging to find out I'm healthy and won't need a C-Pap machine? Because I know the battle ahead of me will not be an easy one. (BTW...all of my other appointments went well!)
So, back to my first question...when do you know a roadblock is a moment to prove your faithfulness? In my search to find a biblical answer to my question, I was quickly lead to the following scripture, Phillipians 4:6-8:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
If I truly feel lead by God to keep pressing forward to this surgery, then I need to not be anxious about the journey ahead. Instead, I'll keep praying and talking to God about the desires of my heart! Isn't God truly amazing? Praise HIM!!!!
