He's Headin' Out....

Tony has been planning a trip to Glamis, California for the last 3 months. The plan was to leave tomorrow, March 27 and come back on April 7....well, because of the weather that is moving into the TX panhandle right now, Tony got a call that they want to leave a 3pm TODAY! What? TODAY? I'm not ready for him to leave yet. I was immediately sick to my stomach. I haven't seen him since Tuesday since he's been working and now, I won't see him until April 7. No way! That sucks! So, I made a decision to leave work early and pick up the kids from school, so we could all say goodbye to Daddy.

So, more on his trip...he is traveling with a group of 5 guys to Glamis, CA to ride their ATVs in the desert. When the final group all meets up in California, there will be about 15 of them. These are all people he has met in an online ATV forum. For the most part, they are all strangers...although they have chatted on line numerous times and met once to plan the trip.

They are traveling through Arizona, to Lake Havasu and then on to Glamis. This is truly a trip of a lifetime for him. I am so excited for him, but I know the kids and I will miss him terribly.

Pray for safe travels for the group and pray that the kids and I are safe and don't kill each other while he is gone. I'll update you all on where he is and what he is doing while he is gone. Thank goodness, there is actually a cell tower in the middle of the desert...go figure.
