SYTYCD Top 8

Last nights episode was interesting, to say the least. The couples were paired up randomly again and they each danced two routines. As the couples each danced their first routines for the night, I felt like I was watching a sporting event, where your favorite team is stinkin' it up in the first half. I mean, seriously, the dances were painful to watch. Then in the middle of it all, it was like they went to the locker room and got a pep talk from the coach...the second set of dances from each couple was phenomenal. So much so that after each one I would say, oh..that one's my favorite...over and over. I think Tony was tired of hearing it.

Once all was said and done and each couple had danced twice, I walked away having two favorites. These two dances couldn't be any more opposite of each other either.

My first and MOST favorite is Melissa and Ade performing a Tyce DiOrio routine. Be sure to listen to the story behind the choreography and you'll understand why everyone is crying in the end.

My second favorite is a Shane Sparks hip-hop routine performed by Kayla and Jason.

Be sure to watch the 100th episode of SYTYCD tonight. Performances of all the best dances will be done and Katie Holmes is doing a special performance. It will certainly be one not to miss.

These were definitely my two favorite dances as well!! I watched these the night I wasn't feeling well so I cried like a baby during Ade and Melissa's dance...I guess the entire audience did too!! sniff, snifff!!

I was so mad that Jason got cut this week--I really thought it would be Evan, he's been getting out-danced every week lately--but he didn't even land in the bottom 2! I was sad to see him go. And then Janette got cut, too--it was just a lousy week for the show. I loved the Tyce routine, I liked several others, but it just wasn't a good week for me. Hopefully this next week will be better!
