Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

An angry rebel, John dropped out of school and enlisted in the Army, not knowing what else to do with his life--until he meets the girl of his dreams, Savannah. Their mutual attraction quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah waiting for John to finish his tour of duty, and John wanting to settle down with the woman who has captured his heart. But 9/11 changes everything.

When I got home last night, I was so tired...my legs hurt from the elliptical I'd done at lunch. All I wanted to do was go to sleep. I talked Tony into letting me lay down in bed instead of hang out in the living room. But, instead of sleeping, I started reading and ending up finishing Dear John.

I loved the story...the romance is typical Nicholas Sparks, but I have to admit the ending made me pretty mad. It DID NOT end the way I wanted it to, but I guess Nicholas Sparks is good at doing that to his readers. The book was an easy read, so if you want something quick to read that doesn't require much thought, then this is a good one.

When I was searching for the picture of the book, I found out they are making this into a movie. It is set to come in Feb 2010...and guess who is playing John?....Channing Tatum...um, hello! I am so there...he is such a cutie! Check out this link to find out more. There isn't a released trailer yet, at least not one that I could find.
