For the most part, I took the weekend off and didn't do any blogging! I have to admit, it was weird. I am so used to blabbing about life multiple times a day, that I felt a little disconnected.
So, here it is Monday and it's time for me to get back to business and post about the 6th item on the 11 Ways to Stay Focused, Rewarding Yourself when Warranted. The tough part of this is to not reward myself with food. This is where 'new programming' is so necessary.
I think this is best accomplished by aligning your rewards with the small bites that have been established. So for me, I think that best works with my goal to lose 10 pounds a month. For each month that I meet my small bite goal, I will reward myself with something like a pedicure, a manicure, a shopping trip...etc.
Now, to report on how I did last week...my first week of realigning my focus. I did GREAT during the week, but then over the weekend I became distracted again. I didn't want to weigh this morning, but I knew it was necessary and part of the process. It is bitter-sweet to tell you that I lost 1.2 pounds. Sweet because a loss is a loss...bitter because I wanted more. But the only way I can fix the bitter part is to do better this week.
