We had a pretty good weekend. It was busy and slow all at the same time.
Christmas Carol Train Tour
We all enjoyed the train tour on Saturday morning. Ashton's friend Briann went with us and it was a fun hour and a half of free entertainment.
The Time Traveler's Wife
Saturday afternoon, Tony and I actually paid for a sitter for the kids and we went out on a date. He took me to see The Time Traveler's Wife. I loved, loved, loved the book. I was also under no illusion that the movie would come anywhere close to the detail in the book. So, as far as my review of the movie, it was satisfying. The chemistry between Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana was beautiful. Luckily, I could fill in the gaps with my knowledge from the book.
Sick and too much Wal-Mart
At least once a week, I am sick to my stomach or nauseous. It really stinks. It hit at bedtime on Saturday night and the whole room was spinning. Usually, I can go to sleep and it will go away, but when I woke up at 3am, I still felt horrible. It was like I was on some horrible carnival ride. The night before, I didn't get groceries, so I had the plan to get them early Sunday morning before Tony left for work. I knew I would be disappointing Tony if I didn't get them, so I pulled my dizzy self out of bed at 5am and got groceries. Halfway through I thought I was gonna pass out...the place got horribly hot and I just wanted to lay down. Once I got home and got everything put away, I realized I was missing a bag. Ugh! I drove back to the store and they had it there waiting on me. There was a good $20 worth of groceries in that bag...there was no way I could leave it there. By the time I got back and finally got laid back down, I was not feeling well. Needless to say, the kids and I stayed in bed most of the morning. Once I got some REAL food in my system, I started feeling much, much better.
Cyndy's Angel Messages
Last night, I attended a long awaited Psychic Party...yes, I said Psychic Party. Last February at our first Shabby Souls book club, we got to talking about ghosts and psychics and found out that Natalie had been to see this psychic, Cyndy Green, The Angel Lady, and most of us were totally intrigued. Nicole and Natalie booked the party and we have been waiting 6 months! It cost us $20 each and it was worth every penny. The things she said were so enlightened. I honestly cannot explain how awesome it was! It is just something you have to experience.
We are planning to book another party, so if you are interested, let me know!
