A Week Wasted

Last week, I was on forced furlough (unpaid vacation...yuk!). I had big plans for what I was going to accomplish....cleaning, shopping, exercising..etc, etc.

Monday morning started okay. I was a little lightheaded when I woke up, but I shook it off and got dressed for the gym. After I dropped the kids at school, I went to get some time in on the treadmill. I last a whole 19 minutes before I was horribly, horribly sick. Mom and I planned to shop that afternoon, so I called her and said I was running late because I needed a nap. Little did I know this little nap would set the tone for my whole week. We went shopping and as the day progressed, I got tireder and tireder. Until it was utter exhaustion.

This is how EVERY day went last week too. I was busted. I guess a body can only go so long with no calories. Wednesday was my official day to start eating soft proteins. I have had no intolerance to any of the foods...which is GREAT! But the calories still aren't making a huge difference. I eat about 5 - 6 small bites and I am full. The dietitian said not to be concerned with the lack of calories, that I would be fine.

Here it is Monday and I am back at work pushing through the tiredness. I guess that is really the only thing I can do, huh?
