You might recall that I did a review of Dear John the book a few months ago. I love Nicholas Sparks, but the end of this book really just hacked me off. It was a great story with a sucky ending...so you would think I would love the movie since they changed the ending, right? WRONG!
Don't get me wrong, the movie was okay, but I was so disappointed in the lack of chemistry between Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. I think my expectations were set too high. I was hoping for the same kind of chemistry that existed in The Notebook...at least the two books had the comparable levels. But on screen, this movie just didn't do it for me. Independently, I love Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum is A-MAZE-ZING to look at. But this will not be a movie I'll have to watch over and over.
I hope if you go see it, you'll like it better than I did.
