This was such a busy, busy weekend. I went to a sleepover, on a date and threw a party! Whew! I'm tired.
Friday night, the women in our small group were hosted to a fun sleepover at Tobi's house. She invited us all over for our first annual PJ Party. This is going to be a great annual tradition. She kicked her kids and husband out of the house and the rest of us left ours behind. We spent time getting to know each other better through good food and conversation. There were 3 of us that stayed the night and it was 2:15am when we finally went to bed. (I have decided I am way too old to stay up late.) Tobi was a wonderful hostess. She made each of us an adorable handmade scarf. She did a beautiful job! Thanks for having us over Tobi. You are such a wonderful woman.
When I got home Saturday morning, I was beat. I laid down for a nap at noon and ended up sleeping until 3:30 in the afternoon. Just enough time for me to get up and get ready for a date night with my hubby. My parents came over and kept the kids so we could go out. We went to the Warren Balcony and saw Dear John. (I'll write more about my thoughts on the movie later.) The date was nice though. Tony and I don't get near enough time out on our own. I am a huge believer in dating your husband. It is so important in a healthy marriage.
I was still worn on out Sunday, but I spent the afternoon getting ready for small group. We hosted the group for a fun Super Bowl Party! Our group consists of 10 families. It may sound like a lot, but we all have so much fun together. It was funny, as we watched the game, the volume on the TV stayed low, but when the commercials came on, we turned it up. You can't miss the commercials during the super bowl...right?
It may have been a busy weekend, but I loved it. I love spending time with my friends, my family and my hubby! I can't think of another way to truly enjoy myself.

Sounds like a fun weekend! And yes, staying up late gets harder and harder as we get older... strange.
