Tony and I have had the last few days alone...no kids! The kids left for my mom's house on Tuesday and don't come home until this afternoon. It has been wonderful to have some relaxing time around the house with Tony.
We spent Tues, Wed and Thurs catching up on our DVR. We had the entire final season of Saving Grace to watch and since this show is rated MA, we couldn't watch it unless the kids were asleep. So, this was the perfect time to watch it. The series finale was very sad, but all-in-all, I have truly enjoyed watching the show. I will miss Grace's screwed up antics.
Yesterday, I took a day of vacation and Tony and I spent the entire day together. We went to see two movies, picked up a home cooked meal and then watched some more DVR.
The first movie we saw was Salt...and OMG you must go see it. There is definitely going to be a sequel and I'm looking forward to it. The action was amazing and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This is much like the Bourne series with Matt Damon, but instead the lead is a girl...Angelina Jolie...whom I love. She did a fabulous job.
After Salt we stuck around the theatre and saw Despicable Me! Funny, Funny, Funny! I must have a minion. They were so dang cute. The kids saw this movie a couple of weeks ago with my parents, so Tony and I didn't feel guilty going without them. We loved the movie. It had so many laugh out loud moments! This is a great one to take the kids to see.
After the movies we went to Prairie Gypsies to pick up our dinner. I bought a Groupon for them a few weeks ago since I had had their food at work before. But before the Groupon, I had no idea that they did daily entrees. Each day they make a wonderful home cooked meal that you can buy by the portion. Yesterdays entree was White Lasagna. I absolutely loved it and wanted to devour the entire portion. Tony didn't like it as much as I did, but we all know he is horribly picky. After dinner we watched a movie we had DVRd on Encore...Lakeview Terrace. This was a crazy, crazy show. Samuel L. Jackson plays an awesome bad guy. If you haven't seen it, try to catch it on Encore or rent it some time. It was a really good movie.
The kids come home today and I have missed horribly. I'm looking forward to getting my "huggies" from both my babies.
