Sixteen

Today is our 16th Wedding Anniversary. Isn't that kinda crazy? It feels crazy. But it feels good!

So, in honor of our anniversary, I thought I would give you a list.

16 Things About Us
Tony and I were 18 when we met. That means our kids could potentially meet their spouses in the next couple of years (5 for Quinn and 8 for Ashton).

We have lived in three houses since we got married. Our first house was an 800 sq ft box in Del City that we rented for $400 a month. Then we bought our first house on the east side of Moore in 1997 and our current house in 2006.

Tony gave me three stipulations about the wedding when we got engaged...he wanted to get married on the 13th (he didn't care the month), he wanted a short engagement and he didn't want to see any bows on my dress.

It took us 5 months to get pregnant with Quinn. When we decided to start trying for #2 (Ashton) we were actually already pregnant and didn't know yet. So when Ash turned three months old, we made sure no other pill pregnancies were possible.

Tony sleeps on the right side of the bed and I sleep on the left.

In the 19 years since we started dating, we have only been out of the country together one time. I think we need to work on this one a little bit...don't you?

Tony prefers my hair short and I prefer that he has hair. But since this is such a small thing, we are respectful of each others choices and do what we want....obviously.

Tony and I have both lived in Oklahoma our entire lives.

Tony and I are both the babies of the family and only have one sibling each.

We both lived in a suburb of OKC before our families moved us into the country outside of Shawnee (I was five when my family moved out of the city and Tony was twelve when his moved.)

Tony and I both went to the same pediatrician while living in the city, so I swear we played together when we were little.

Tony prefers a dark house and I prefer a well lit house. So he is constantly going behind me and turning off lights.

Tony is a dog person and I am a cat person. But we have both learned to love each other's pets.

I am older than Tony by 3 months and 5 days and during that time, he is constantly reminding me that I am older.

Our love of movies started early...we met while we both worked a the movie theatre in Shawnee Mall and we have been obsessive movie watchers since.

Tony is extremely OCD about the sheets and blankets on the bed and I could care less. It is a very funny combination!
