M.I.A. - Last Day of School - Dancin' Queen - Feather Locks

First off, sorry I have been M.I.A. this week. Between work (closing out a month with one member of our team out of the country), not feeling well, and trying to keep my head above water, unfortunately, my blog had to suffer. I have lots to catch you up on, so unfortunately, this will be a long post with A LOT of pictures.

The kids have had their last days of school. To celebrate, we met Emily and her parents, Rob and Christine, for breakfast. It was fun to enjoy a calm sit down breakfast before they headed off for their last day. I can't believe I am not the mom of an 8th grader and 5th grader. CRAZY!

(Ashton & her friends Lillie and Sarae - these girls are the best of friends and we are sadly saying goodbye to Sarae...she leaving us for Arkansas. She will be missed!)

Ashton's dance recital was last week. She did such a great job in her tap and jazz routines. Several friends and family came to watch her perform too. She was so excited that so many people wanted to share in her night. (Not pictured below are Tony's parents {they skipped out before I got my camera out} and Jeana {not sure what happened there}.

Then, on Saturday, I treated Ashton to a surprise of feather locks. She has been asking about getting some for a long time and I finally broke down and made her an appointment. But I didn't tell her about it at all, so she was very surprised when we showed up at the hair salon for HER. I think they are really cute. Tony was a little surprised that I didn't get any for myself ;)

On Sunday, my sister and her family came through OKC on their way home from TX and then on to my parents. It was fun to get some Baby V and Mr. C attention. I am super blessed to have such a great niece and nephew. While they were over, my friend Misty took a last minute appt with us to take some 2 month pics of Veronica. I can't wait to see the final edit on the pics. But to give you a teaser, here one of the pics (un-edited).

BTW...Misty is extremely gifted with photography. If you are interested in using her services, you can click HERE for her blog and leave her a comment. I promise, you won't regret it.
