Family Frenzy Friday

I returned home from trip to Ohio on the Tuesday of Spring Break.  The kids, however, weren't there.  They were in Branson with my parents and couldn't wait for us to get there too.  It was nice for Tony and I to have the house to ourselves though.  We cleaned all of my laundry (so I could repack for Branson) and then since I was exhausted I fell asleep at 8:30 that night.  Pretty romantic huh? :)

Wednesday morning we packed up the car and started our drive East.  Tony has an illness and actually enjoys driving places...I will never understand it, but it is what it is.  We arrived in Branson around 3:30 that afternoon and Ashton was about to leap off the balcony to get to our car.  It had been a week since I had seen the kids and Tony hadn't seen them in 4 days.  So, they were pretty starved for some parental attention (not that parents don't thoroughly spoil them).

It was nice to be reunited a family again.  Of course, I had to take the obligatory family picture...it was a lot of fun trying to get all four of us in since we were doing the outstretched arm self portrait.

It was also nice to know that the kids missed me just as much as I missed them.

We had nice slow stay in Branson.  On Thursday, we went to see Oz the Great and Powerful.  It was a really cute movie and I think Disney did a fantastic job with it.  I'm sure this will be one we buy on DVD.  But go see it in the theatre if you are a fan...it is too pretty not to see on the big screen.

That evening, Branson was blanketed in the most beautiful snow.  We just sat in our room watching it fall.

That is until the fire alarm started sounding.  Seriously!  The fire department was called, so we sat in the van while we waited to find out if we could go back inside.  That was seriously the most exciting thing ever.

We returned home on Friday and were all so glad to be back in our own beds.  Ali and Sookie were pretty happy to have us home too.  Tony worked all day Saturday and Sunday, so I literally spent the two days sleeping and getting ready for my return to work.

I absolutely adore the reunification pictures!! How stinkin' precious that your kids were so over-the-moon!
The pic of the fire truck in the snowy weather totally took me back to my college days when we had to evacuate the dorm in the snow and we all were in our pjs. It was not pretty.

Sheesh, between your house stuff and the fire alarm...sheesh. Glad everyone's back to normal though! :)

Looks like everyone for sure missed each other, love it! The snow looked so pretty, I hope it did not stop y'all from doing any things. Enjoy your week back at work. :)
