I did my RMR and VO2 assessment today. It is amazing what they can do with technology. I got to wear a beautiful Hannibal Lector mask (see photo below)so they could measure my oxygen intake and carbon dioxide out put.

The results showed that my target heart rate is between 125 and 135. This is the optimal range for me to burn the most fat, rather than burning carbs.
I'm also on day 2 of the diet. (The kids and I could certainly tell that I was eating way more protein than normal....toot, toot, stinky toot...hehehe.) I haven't had many cravings and I'm trying to make sure I vary what I eat...the last thing I need is to get bored and go back to my normal eating pattern.
