Nine of us were able to stay the entire weekend and three additional came over to visit Friday night (Gloria, Meredith and Charline). I was the youngest this year (35) and the oldest was Maxine (a spunky 85 year old). My mom was there, two of my aunts (Aunt Judy and Aunt Brenda), and two wonderful women who are family by marriage (Pat and Maxine).We even adopted three new "friends" into the family and can't wait to have them with us each year to come (Betty, Fay, and Karen). Many were unable to come this year and they were all dearly missed.
We stayed in a beautiful condo on Table Rock Lake in Branson, MO. We spent the weekend enjoying each other's company, watching movies in the fabulous movie room, shopping in Branson, making cards (thanks MOM!) and laughing until our sides and cheeks hurt (No get together is complete if there isn't good food too...so you know we ate well!!!).
This is such a wonderful tradition. Family is what you are born with, but friendship is what you develop within those relationships. I love all these women and can't wait to see them all at next year's get-together.
