One Proud Mamma

The PTA at Ashton's school holds an annual visual arts competition called Reflections. Last year's theme was "Together We Can..." and Ash entered and won 3rd place. I was so proud...especially since I didn't know she had even entered.

So, when the notes came last fall about the 2011-2012 Reflections contest, I asked her if she was entering again. The theme was "Diversity" and she bounced ideas around, but wouldn't nail anything down. Until of course the night before....ugh! So, she and I got busy and did a collage.

We were thrilled when a note came home last week telling us she had placed and would be getting an award during Rise N Shine. Of course, I had to go witness the moment.


Drum roll please.........She placed 1st!!! Woo hoo!!! I am so proud of her. My little creative lady! Congrats Ash! (Hopefully she will get the art piece back and I can post a picture again for you guys!)
